Energy Cannot be Created or Destroyed

PART 1

Remember the Law of Physics:

"Energy cannot be created nor destroyed but can be changed from one form to another."

The scientists further describe energy in this manner:

"Energeia is the Greek word for energy, meaning in or at work. Over time, energy has come to mean many things to us. In physical science, energy means the ability to do work. Work means a change in position, speed, state, or form of matter. Therefore, energy is the capacity to change matter. Everything we do involves energy. Getting up, going to school, and doing chores require energy. In fact, everything that happens in the universe, from the eruption of volcanoes, to the sprouting of seed, to the moving of people, takes energy. When we turn on a motor, drive a car, cook on a stove or switch on a light, we are using energy. Energy surrounds us. It is everywhere and abundant, yet it has no mass and can’t be touched. However, you can see and feel the effects energy has on many materials."

Well, all of the discoveries about natural energy are merely a shadow of the reality of spiritual energy. In the spiritual realm (the real and eternal world) there are only two sources of energy that are in operation that manifests openly in the natural realm. The first is that spiritual energy emanating from God and working only in the believers and for God's supreme purposes:

Greek (Strong's Concordance): <1754> energew energeo en-erg-eh’-

1Co 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh <1754> all in all.

Ga 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually <1754> in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty <1754> in me toward the Gentiles:)

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh <1754> in you both to will and to do <1754> of his good pleasure.

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh <1754> in us

Ga 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh <1754> miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh <1754> all things after the counsel of his own will:

Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought <1754> in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places

Col 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh <1754> in me mightily.

1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh <1754> also in you that believe.

On the other hand, the second is that spiritual energy issuing forth from Satan in the lives of the unsaved and through the sinful flesh:

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh <1754> in the children of disobedience:

Ro 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work <1754> in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth <1754> already work <1754>: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

PART 2

Now that you have read and understood the earlier meditation in Part 1, consider this verse:

Jas 5:16 Confess your faults {sins} one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed {saved}. The effectual fervent {energeo} <1754> prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Note: The Greek word for "faults" is also translated "sins" such as in:

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Also, the word "healed" signifies salvation as is evident:

Mt 13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Now, putting it all together:

The prayer that is first energized by God to be prayed by a righteous person (primarily Jesus Christ as High Priest, he was the only righteous person, 1John 2:1) avails much before God and is effectual in the spiritual healing (salvation) of those who express their need of healing from their trespasses as they openly admit they are sinners (Luke 18:10-14).

I hope this is a consolation and encouragement when we consider those close to us for whom we have been praying for their salvation.
