Daniel 10 – Another passage indicating the GT!

Before getting into Daniel 10, we will take a short look at the period of tribulation of Judah in the time of Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon. We are doing this because Daniel 10:1 states that this vision of Daniel occurred in the third year of Cyrus, King of Babylon which was 536 B.C. and which happened to be the end of the seventy years of God’s tribulation upon Judah as we will show in our study.

God tells us the very start and length of the tribulation upon Judah in the following passage:

2Chr 36:17 Therefore (as a result of the sins of Judah and Jehoiakim covered in earlier verses prior to this verse) he (God) brought upon them the king of the Chaldees {THE START OF THE TRIBULATION Nebuchadnezzar, the King of the Chaldees,--in his first year Dan 1:1-7- 606 B.C. which was the 3rd year of Jehoiakim--besieged Jerusalem and God gave Jehoiakim into Nebuchadnezzar’s hand and he carried away Daniel and compatriots and vessels of the temple, etc. to Babylon, thereby depicting the very start of the desolation of abomination in the Holy Place by Satan and was continued until Nebuchadnezzar’s 23rd year in 583 B.C. when he carried away his final captives to make his total captives 4600 (2300 x 2), Jer 52:30. This period of 23 years of desolations upon Judah with “2300 x 2” captives taken parallels the first 2300 days of the Great Tribulation as described in Daniel 8:10-14 upon the churches represented by the number two}, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand. 18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon. 19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. 20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:  21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years. (THE LENGTH-- the end of the seventy years was therefore 536 B.C.- the third year of Cyrus when Daniel was given understanding and vision of the end of the 70 years and as it related to the Great Tribulation--Dan 10).

As we will see from our study of Daniel 10, we will find very important time paths employing 536 B.C. as the starting point that bracket the start and end of the GT from 1988 to 2011 and also hit certain significant milestones within the 23 years of Great Tribulation! Hence, this year of 536 B.C. is a very important milestone to God and thus He marks it in His word for our benefit.

Now, we will continue with the main study:

In Daniel 10, we read and comment as we go along:

1 ¶ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia (The end of the tribulation on Judah of 70 years in 536 B.C. see page 26 of The Biblical Calendar) a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long (it was a long time to the GT that this 70 years was typifying—the actual time being from 536 B.C. to 1988 A.D. or 2,523 actual years to the start of the GT and 2,546 actual years to the end of the GT in 2011!): and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. {long: Heb. great}

2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks (A portrait of the true believers mourning during the GT [Joel 1:9-10]. The three full weeks are a portrait of the length of the GT and comprise 21 days or 504 hours [504=84{the GT} x 2 {upon the churches} x 3{is the will of God}]). {full…: Heb. weeks of days}

3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled (no true gospel—the pleasant bread is available to be eaten by the elect in the churches during the GT, also no wine—no salvation in the churches as there is no wine [blood] or flesh of Christ-John 6:54).

4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month (the GT of symbolic 21 days or 504 hours now ended), as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel (the 3rd great river in Eden before sin entered the world, Gen 2:14, indicating that the time according to God’s will for the elect’s salvation to be completed when they are again without sin is at hand at the end of the GT);

5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz (Christ--The sign of the Son of Man in heaven is now visible and the elect lift up their heads and behold Him knowing that their redemption draws nigh): {a…: Heb. one man}

6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude (description of Christ coming in the clouds when every eye shall see Him and this event is after the GT!).

7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision (the vision is sealed to the unsaved, they have no inkling until the fulfillment comes upon them as a thief); but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves (judgment upon the unsaved starts immediately after the GT of 21 days just as the sixth seal indicates that they flee and try to hide from the face of Christ and His wrath—Rev 6:12-17!).

 Dan 10:13  But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days (During the GT, Satan represented by the prince of Persia is able to withstand the elect within the external church even as he is reigning in the temple-2 Thes 2): but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me (Christ comes to the aid of the elect to take them out of the influence of Satan at the end of the GT); and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

 14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: (only the elect will understand what is presently happening with them spiritually at this time in the latter days during the GT) for yet the vision is for many days (this vision which came at the very end of the 70-year tribulation of Israel and lasts for exactly 21 days will not be fulfilled until many days after 536 B.C. until 2523 years later in 1988):

The 2523 actual years to the start of the GT at the very end of the church age factors to 3x29x29. The number 3 speaks of God’s will and purpose even as Jesus prayed three times about the cup being removed but that His Father’s will be done (Matt 26:42-44). The number “29” signifies the elect being born into the world being the gold offering of God which were made into the vessels of God for the service of God in this world and who ultimately become kings of heaven and reign with Christ as their inheritance based on the following passages where this number is used in the Bible:

1. The elect being born into the world:

Ge 11:24  And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:

2. The elect are the gold offering of God:

Ex 38:24  All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

3. The elect are the silver vessels of God used in His service in this world:

Ezr 1:9  And this is the number of them: thirty chargers of gold, a thousand chargers of silver, nine and twenty knives,

4. The elect are kings of heaven and reign with Christ:

2Ki 14:2  He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

2Ki 18:2  Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Abi, the daughter of Zachariah.

2Ch 25:1  Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

2Ch 29:1  Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

5. The elect receive their inheritance in heaven:

Jos 15:32  And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages:

Thus the 2523 years points to the purpose of God in saving elects in the churches (indicated by the 29 appearing twice for double emphasis—the number 2 also signifying the witness activities of the truly saved of the churches, Rev 11:3) and these elects will receive eternal inheritance and reign as kings with Christ.

The 2546 years (from the end of the 70 years of judgment upon Judah, in 536 BC) to the end of the GT in 2011 AD factors to 38 X 67. The number 38 is used in the following passage:

De 2:14  And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them. {brook: or, valley}

Here, it signifies the judgment of God upon the churches causing the tares to be wasted out from wheat (even as God wasted out the unsaved amongst Israel in the wilderness) finally at the end of the GT in 2011, thereby indicating the physical separation of the elect from the unsaved at the end of May 21, 2011 into the start of May 22, 2011.

But, like the number 5, the number 38 also features salvation:

Joh 5:5  And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7  The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8  Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9  And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

It is therefore indicative of the elect being saved out of the judgment of the infirmity of their sins.

The number 67 points to the completion of salvation when all the elects as priests of God receive their glorified spiritual clothing (spiritual bodies—garments):

Ne 7:72  And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.

Thus the 2546 years to 2011 from 536 B.C. also points to the completion of salvation of the elects from the infirmity and presence of sin in their mortal bodies and their clothing by God with their immortal spiritual bodies in the year 2011 and it is also this time that the unsaved will be wasted out under the judgment of God!

Additionally, the number 38 is also factorable as 19 x 2. The number 19 is used by God only in the following verses:

Jos 19:38  And Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

39  This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages.

2Sa 2:30  And Joab returned from following Abner: and when he had gathered all the people together, there lacked of David’s servants nineteen men and Asahel.

So the number “19” points to inheritance in the land of Canaan (a portrait of the inheritance of the saints in heaven) and it also points to God’s judgment of those who were servants in Christ in external churches even as they were unsaved and yet joined up with Christ in His war against sin and Satan. These are the folks about which Christ makes the following declaration:

Mt 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So 2546 representing the number of years from 536 BC to 2011 AD also factors to 19x2x67 and spiritually shows the judgment of the unsaved from the churches (the number 2 signifying the churches in external witnessing even as they were sent two and two by Christ, Luke 10:1) and the inheritance in heaven by those saved in the churches (the true two witness of Rev 11:3-11) of which includes their immortal spiritual bodies all occurring within the year 2011 AD!

Of course these dates are all projections that are based on the faithfulness of the underlying Biblical Calendar and also subject to one’s hermeneutics and eschatology.

This chart (See: “Chart illustrating Matthew 24:22”) illustrates some of the time paths covered in this study and also indicates the shortening of the GT according to Christ’s directive:

Matt 24:21  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

An Additional Timepath utilizing the number “67”

This timepath was heard on a Christian discussion program. The period of time from Israel coming into the Land of Canaan in 1407 BC (see Biblical Calendar, Page 15) to 2011 A.D. is exactly 3417 years (there being no year zero) which factors to 3x17x67!

This timepath illustrates that even as the nation of Israel came into Canaan (spiritually depicting coming into Heaven, Exo 3:8,17) in 1407 BC by the will and purpose of God, so it is also the will and purpose of God (3, Exo 34:23, Exo 23:17) for the nation of elect believers to enter eternal Heaven and reign as kings (17, Jer 32:9, 1 Kings 14:21 ) and receive their priest garments of clothing from God which is their immortal spiritual bodies (67, Neh 7:72) in the year 2011!

THE END
